We are a group of three Certified Infant Massage Instructors (CIMIs) who have teamed up to be THE source for infant massage instruction in Nevada County. Between us, we have many years of experience in working with babies and children, including those with special needs.
Amber Reinhart CMT, CIIM
Amber Reinhart has been a massage therapist for 13 years and has been teaching infant massage classes to families in the community for the past nine years. She received her infant massage training through the Foundation for Healthy Family Living in 2001. She taught for many years at the maternity health center through the hospital, as well as Champion Mine Family Resource Center working with families of children with disabilities.
Amber has seen first hand how infant massage can effect and improve the health and well being of babies and their families. She is passionate about her work as an infant massage instructor and her classes offer a fun, loving and secure space for you to learn to massage your baby.
Marybeth Paul CMT, CIMI
In 2005 Marybeth began teaching baby massage classes primarily to parents of children (from birth to age three) through the Infant Program at Champion Mine School. The program provides services to families who have children with developmental delays. She also teaches privately to individuals and groups and love to be in the company of babies and their care providers as they experience the wonderful life-long benefits of therapeutic touch.
Marybeth has been a massage therapist since 1993, offering Orthopedic Massage which provides relief for acute injuries such as whiplash, sprains and strains. It also addresses chronic conditions like low back pain, headaches and overuse syndrome. With gentle yet specific rhythmic movement, soft tissue is repositioned into its place of optimal function. In addition to offering appointments in her office she feels blessed to have found deeply satisfying work that brings people comfort and relief. She loves to introduce babies and their parents to the life-long value of massage!
Louise Preston CMT, CCP, CIMI
A bodyworker for over 30 years, Louise specializes in Craniosacral Work, Orthopedic Massage and Pediatric massage. She has taught Craniosacral Work for the Milne Institute for 10 years.
With a special interest in pediatric craniosacral work, Louise wrote her thesis for her craniosacral certification on a study of children with developmental disabilities. She studied pediatric craniosacral work with Benjamin Shield, and massage for children with special needs with Shay Beider, and was certified in infant massage by Diana Moore, founder of the Loving Touch Foundation.
Now she is focused on her private practice and teaching infant massage to parents.
